We are thrilled you want to volunteer with us! Even if you have only a small amount of time, you can still help. Our volunteers are the backbone of our rescue. We can't wait to introduce you to our rescue and the team that saves Golden's lives.
Here's How You Can Help!
Create and/or participate in opportunities to raise funding that supports GRRI-NJ.
Transport Goldens from surrendering owners, shelters, vet offices, etc., to the appropriate GRRI-NJ destination.
Work in conjunction with other GRRI-NJ volunteers to interview prospective adoptive families to see if they will provide the right environment for our Goldens.
Visit and interview prospective foster and adoptive families to see if they will provide the right environment for our Goldens.
Organize and staff GRRI-NJ booths at events, where volunteers distribute rescue literature, and answer questions about Goldens our rescue.
Open your heart and home to a Golden!
Retrieve messages on a daily basis off our hotline and respond as needed. Each Golden entering our program has an intake volunteer assigned who tracks and supervises what happens to the Golden from evaluation through foster or adoptive placement.
Evaluations are another critical part of our rescue. In conjunction with intake volunteers, evaluators personally assess the temperament and behavior of each Golden.
