Bobbie
President
Bobbie has been involved in rescuing Golden Retrievers since 2000 when she welcomed Missy Marie into her family. Shortly thereafter, while at work at her job as the practice manager for a veterinarian, she had the good fortune of meeting a very special Golden patient named Sparky whose mom and dad were involved in GRRI-NJ and suggested that she attend an upcoming event. Initially, Bobbie was involved in doing home visits and helping with the reunion. Eventually, she became Vice President and currently serves as President.
In addition to her volunteer work with GRRI-NJ, Bobbie works as a veterinary practice manager. In her leisure time, she enjoys knitting, cooking, reading, sudoku ... and spending time with her Golden family!
To save the life of an animal is noble;
to revere the life of an unwanted soul is magical.

A transplant to New Jersey from Western New York, Brent relocated to NJ in 2015 for work. He currently works for a marketing agency where he is a live event producer for events around the country. Brent joined GRRI-NJ in March of 2016 assisting with home visits, transportations, events, and has served as the Vice President since January 2018. In 2023, he welcomed his first Golden into his life. Levi has become his world and looks forward to attending all the GRRI events with his dad! In addition to volunteering with GRRI, Brent is also a longtime volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. In his free time, relaxing on cruises, exploring NYC, and going to the movie theater are a few of Brent’s favorite things to do.

Sue
Treasurer
Sue
Treasurer
Sue was introduced to the wonderful breed of Golden Retrievers when she was 18 years old with her very first dog, a Golden mix from the shelter. It was love at first sight and she has never looked back. Since that time, she has rescued countless Goldens (18 to be exact!), preferring to give a second chance to seniors looking for a loving home in their twilight years.
Sue currently works as a Clinical Nurse Manager and has also worked as a veterinary nurse. In her spare time she loves spending time with her gang, including grooming and training them, and she also competes in obedience and rally with her two youngest Goldens, Seaver and Gabriel.
Susan
Secretary
Susan
Secretary
Susan has loved animals since childhood. One of her earliest memories is as a toddler, reaching out from her stroller trying to pet a dog (and throwing a fit when she couldn't). She has been involved with GRRI-NJ and Golden Retriever rescue since 2016, following her adoption of Faulkner, the “Turkey Dog” that owned her heart and soul. Since then, she has adopted three additional rescued Goldens, and four German Shepherds.
Earlier in her life, she worked in small animal clinics, on horse farms, and attended veterinary school, but has worked in broadcasting and public relations for nearly 30 years. Currently, she serves as CEO of two NYC-area firms.
In her free time, she pooper-scoops the yard, feeds her pack of hungry hounds, vacuums infinite “magic tumbleweed,” and sometimes even gets to chill out with her amazingly supportive husband and kids.
